The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 影片根据同名小说改编，剧本不错，女主的几次出走，都是自我挣扎、成长、和解，最后HE，是爱情的模样。
如果因为这些而无法满足胃口，想更贴近事实的，强推小仲马的传奇自传《茶花女》，也是对妓女的救赎，故事大多雷同，只是悲剧结尾，后劲更大。
